I’m an ACF major along with a strong interest in Urdu Literature. Teaching is something I absolutely love and intend to pursue it in the future. I have remained a member of the ‘Teach for change’ department of LUMS Community Service Society.
I would describe myself as an extra-punctual person, who would come to classes way before the starting time but on the other hand, would delay all assignments until the very last day before the deadline. I have tried to explore as many different fields as possible during the last two years at LUMS and would highly recommend freshmen to take courses from every school. You guys will often find me in Jammin, enjoying their Alfredo pasta or Alaska brownie (which is a must-try) and don’t be afraid to ask any queries you may have, regardless of how trivial they are.
One important piece of advice for freshmen would be to always plan your courses in advance especially before your first ever enrollment during O’week since most of the students are clueless. Also, Zambeel is likely to mess up your schedules, and you might not get courses according to your preference, but that’s just something you’ll have to learn to deal with. Lastly, try to avail as many opportunities that come your way, whether they be societies or any other extra-curricular activity.
On a side note, enjoy all you want in O’week since LUMS is not all fun and games, contrary to what O’week makes you believe.
