When students fail to succeed during the 4 years of undergraduate program, it is often due to personal problems interfering with their academic performance. Some of the issues that students are typically dealing with include
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Procrastination
- Lack of motivation
- Family or relationship problems
- Stress
- Substance abuse etc.
To assist students in working through such problems, LUMS offers many services to students, including individual counseling, group counseling, assistance with referrals and more. Student Counselors provide confidential assessment and brief counseling/therapy for students whose concerns range from the normal challenges of everyday life to more disruptive psychological concerns.
Faculty, staff, parents and concerned students are also encouraged to contact us to discuss students in need of assistance, or to address other matters relating to mental health in the university.
You can also contact the LUMS student counselor in this regard. The Student Counselor is available from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Sports Complex.
To get an appointment please contact the Office of Undergraduate Student Advising or email: ousa.sdsb@lums.edu.pk.
