Heartfelt congratulations on embarking on this exciting journey. I welcome you to the LUMS family and am thrilled to be part of your adventure.
I am Myra Ali, a Junior at SDSB majoring in Management Sciences and trying to pursue a minor in Computer Science. I've been a part of multiple societies at LUMS and am currently an active member of the LUMS Community Service Society, serving as the Assistant Director of Human Resources.
Just like you, I came to LUMS two years ago with a suitcase full of hopes, dreams, and fears. These upcoming four years will undoubtedly present challenges and moments of overwhelm, but believe me when I say that they'll sculpt the most incredible chapter of your life. In the past two years, this place has allowed me to grow as a person, a student and even a professional, and I still constantly look forward to what this journey has in store for me. These years will probably not be the easiest, but even the difficulties will be worth it. You will find people who become your limbs, food that will start tasting familiar, instructors who will become familiar faces you greet in the hallways, and experience the joys and trials of navigating yourself as an individual, away from home. Just remember to take it all in, one step at a time, and have faith in yourself.
