Greetings, Class of 2027! I'm Dawood, a senior studying Management Science at SDSB, and I'm thrilled to lend my support as you embark on your first year here.
Let me start by offering a hearty congratulations to each of you for securing your place at LUMS. This accomplishment is no small feat; you've rightfully earned your spot through your merit. I am confident that this journey will shape you into remarkable individuals equipped to conquer all the challenges that your professional and personal lives will present.
I’m sure that most of you will be going through a whirlwind of emotions right now. Some of you must be excited, and others must be anxious. Yet, I assure you that there's absolutely no need to worry. LUMS is an institution that caters to a diverse range of interests and needs. The level of support, inclusivity, and opportunities you'll find here are seldom found elsewhere. My advice is simple: take things one step at a time, invest your efforts consistently, and as you near the end of your four-year journey, the rewards will undoubtedly become evident.
We’ll get to know each other better when we eventually interact in person, but if there’s one thing I want you to know about me, it’s that I joined LUMS as a socially reserved introvert with very few connections, but I will leave as a much more confident person surrounded by some of the loveliest and most supportive bunch of people.
LUMS will change you for sure. Will it be for the better? That lies entirely in your hands. Make the most of these four years; engage actively, venture into uncharted territories, and optimize every opportunity.
