Get ready to embark on this exciting journey that will set the tone for your life ahead and It won’t be long before LUMS becomes ‘Home’ to you. Come with an open mind and pat yourself on the back because you’re some of the very few from across Pakistan who will get to experience the prestigious ‘LUMS life’.
I’m an ACF major currently enrolled in my junior year. For me, every single day at LUMS is an opportunity to learn from your mistakes and try to become proactive. I’m extremely motivated by the natural evolutionary cycle of the human mind. Hence, I’m not afraid to try new things whether it be making new friends or taking up various different courses. That’s the beauty of LUMS. I may be in my junior year but i still get to experience new things everyday. I’m a part of the LUMS Consultancy Group (LCG) and i can say without doubt that societies help you grow as a person and these are the skills you need going forward into your professional lives. So definitely join a society and get the experience that matters! Other than that you obviously get to build a strong network of friends and colleagues which will only help you further in the later years if your lives.
In the future i aspire to be doing something that I really enjoy and in fact I’m still searching for that. That’s one advice for the freshmen, it may take some time but don’t be afraid to look for something that encapsulates you as a human being.
